“Of course Jenna first. Ah, she might be tiny but she definitely can do some damage,” she pointed out as she rolled her eyes and laughed. The girl was nine inches shorter than most of the rest of the gang and she didn’t let it hold her back but instead she made the most of it. “I have a few but I don’t know if it would freak her out. I know there’s an American company that makes baby dolls and you can buy a bunch of outfits, and a crib and a pram and all this other adorable stuff, I’ve been to the store in NYC,” she said with a small shrug. They’d discuss it later, Matt had to go be a superstar. She hugged him back just as tightly, pressing a kiss to his lips. “Go be a star darling,” she smiled, pressing her forehead against his for a moment before letting him go.
“She hurts more than Alex does! She puts a lot into it. The pocket companion,” he grinned at Karen, nodding when she talked about the doll company, “May as well get that while we’re in the country, then.” He smiled softly as she let him go, saluting and giving her wink. Matt was lucky with the film, Ryan was a good boss and didn’t ask much of him (aside from the hair thing). Of course he’d always had fun filming, but with Karen actually on set there was nothing that Matt wanted to do more than cuddle up with her and just stay like that, uninterrupted. Fortunately there was only one scene more to do that day, and it went relatively quickly. Matt high-fived Gosling and jogged back over to Karen, pulling her up off her chair to hug her. “Finished for today. What do you want to do now?”
“That’s because Alex may just be more feisty than I am, which is saying a lot because I’m the fiestiest person in the world,” she smirked, brushing her hair out of her eyes. “They have a store in NYC and one in Chicago or we can always order it and ship it to our house,” she shrugged, yawning a bit. This baby was seriously tiring her out. He went back to filming and she went into his trailer for a catnap, coming back to set before he was finished. When he came back over to her she grinned, her eyes lighting up. “Dinner perhaps? And then a movie while we snuggle in bed? I’m so tired, it’s ridiculous.”
Matt wrapped his arm around Karen’s waist and led her back to his trailer so he could change quickly and grab the dogs. As he took her hand to walk to the car with her, he yawned, slightly relieved that Karen didn’t want to do too much. “There’s a lovely little Italian place down the street from here that I’ve become quite fond of. What do you fancy, love?” He opened her door and took Doctor from her, securing him in the backseat with his sister. Matt took Karen’s hand as he drove, quite content.

“We’ll do it the moment we’re back, I promise.” He rubbed her back soothingly and nuzzled his face into her neck.” Matt knew that Karen always missed London when she had to be away from the city for too long, and he didn’t blame her. He loved it too, especially their new life there. “Oh yes, that’s right. Georgia’s due too! Soon isn’t she? Olive’s going to have a sibling.” Matt smiled. He and Karen got along quite well with David and Georgia, and he absolutely adored little Olive. She was precious. “We should get Olive a gift for when Georgia’s baby is born too. I don’t want her to feel left out because the baby will be getting gifts.” He smiled at Karen as she teared up once again. He didn’t worry this time though, he knew she was happy. Matt kissed Karen softly, only breaking away when he heard Ryan call his name. “Ugh. I don’t want to go…” Matt buried his face in his wife’s neck, hoping he could avoid leaving her for just a few more minutes.
“Good, we should invite everyone over, David and Georgia, Jenna, Bills…too bad Arthur is in New York until Christmas, he’d love to come over and hang out with everyone especially all the kids,” she grinned, putting her hand on the back of his head and drawing him in closer, pressing her lips to his neck as they sat there having her moment. “We should buy her a baby doll, I’m sure she has plenty but we should buy her a special one from Aunt Kaz and Uncle Matt, I don’t know how it should be special, maybe get her one that looks like her?” she shrugged, she knew how to be a mother but she was bad with gifts for children, she usually just bought them clothes or something. She too could hear Ryan and she sighed, biting down on her lip. “Don’t go…” she sighed, squinting into the sunlight at the outdoor set, but she knew he had to.
Matt nodded, “Jenna first. She’ll hit me if we tell her she’s godmother in front of everybody because, as I might have mentioned, she’ll cry buckets.” He smiled at her, “Big dinner party at the Smith house then?” He shrugged, “I don’t know. Can they do dolls that look like the kid? Would that freak her out a little?” The only place Matt had any experience in buying children’s toys was when he and Arthur had gone and bought remote control cars to race around the set. He sighed, hugged Karen tightly and stood so that her feet were on the ground before he let her go. He kissed her quickly and jogged over to Ryan, hoping that the day would go quickly.
